Multimedia applications "Wandering nature Moravia" presents an interactive way and extends the exposure of the Moravian Museum in Brno.
The application is targeted to interested professionals and the general public, very useful is its use in a school environment where due to its interactivity, mobility and attractive administration can become a welcome tool in the classroom.
Not only texts written by professionals, but also images, audio and video will be used to perfectly complement the teachers interpretation.On the application content cooperated with five specialized departments MZM Natural History Museum - Zoological department, Department of Botany, Department of Entomology, Mineralogy and petrography Department of Geological and Paleontological Department.
Zoological part of the application deals with the fauna and monitors selected vertebrates (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals) Moravian countryside.
Users will find out where they occur and what cognitive characteristics and way of life are so different species such as goldfish, marsh frog, marsh turtle, mandarin duck, raccoon dogs and European beaver.
Botanical category focuses on the flora, thus the plants, as well as the fauna surveys which species at risk of extinction and which are on the rise and often invasive and uncontrolled manner.
Category entomology devoted to his interest in the realm of insects, and those interested in this area is both critically endangered species (eg.
Žluťáska barvoměnného or beetle jednorohého) and aggressively invasive species such as ladybird eastern or western conifer seed bug.
Mineralogical and Geological Section of our attention for a change aimed at inanimate nature, the first based on extensive collections and scientific study of minerals and rocks from Moravia and Silesia, the second explores and documents the Moravian palaeontological and geological sites.The application is designed to serve the widest possible range of people interested in nature Moravian region, focusing not only on the past but also the present with the future prospects.
